Today is January 10th 2020 and I am 32 years old. For my birthday I received an Oster Oven with Air Fryer from my husband. I have been wanting an air fryer and now I know what all the fuss is about!
To test out my new air fryer we made simple home fries.
Take 1 pound of potatoes, wash, peel only if you so desire, and cut into 1/2 inch sticks, and let soak in water for 30 minutes.
Preheat your air fryer at 400 degrees. Drain the water from the potatoes and pat dry with a paper towel. Coat with 1tbs of grape seed or avocado oil (or which ever you prefer).
Arrange your potatoes in the basket and cook for 20 minutes, taking them out and tossing them around every 5 minutes to make sure the fries cook evenly.
Lastly add your favorite seasonings. I used a combination of sea salt and pepper. To make a dill dressing you will need 3 tbs of vegan mayo, 1 tbs of unsweetened plant milk, dried dill, sea salt and black pepper mixed together.
These are better then baked fries and much less greasy then traditional deep fried French fries. Leave a comment if this recipe worked for you or any questions you might have. Thanks for reading!
